Abstract

855,290. Bottling. MATHER & PLATT Ltd. June 12, 1959 [March 21, 1958], No. 9073/58. Class 125(2). A filling machine comprises a stationary disc d around the underside of which rotates a head f having filling nozzles g which co-operate with containers c moving on a conveyer a and is characterised by a revolving spindle which catches drips from the nozzles as they leave the container and a scraper ki which cooperates with the spindle to scrape the liquid thereon into the tray k. A second scraper m at the opposite end of the tray is flexible removes any liquid remaining on the nozzle. Liquid is supplied to the nozzles through the pipe e and a chamber h between the stationary and revolving discs. According to the Provisional Specification the spindle moves at high speed and may comprise a belt.
