<PICT:0846654/III/1> <PICT:0846654/III/2> In a dry-cleaning machine of the horizontal single rotary drum type, liquid is fed to the compartments 18 of the drum 1 through perforations 20a in a fixed pipe 20 and perforations 19a in a hollow shaft 19 forming part of the drum, and is withdrawn from the drum by means of a trough 22 located within the shaft 19 and p above the pipe 20. The trough slopes downwardly towards the outlet end where the pipe 20 is sealed (at 21). A valve 13 permits discharge of liquid at 15, or circulation by a pump 4 connected to a storage tank 6 having supply pipes 7, 8.
