Abstract

830,287. Endless conveyer bands. PITT, J. H. J. Nov. 21, 1957 [July 19, 1957], No. 22866/57. Class 78 (1). An endless conveying band is formed of transverse wave-like strips 20 and transverse rods 6 passing through holes 7 formed in the strips, the strips being formed at 3A, 4A with curved bearing surfaces engaging the rods. The holes 7 are formed larger than necessary so that the rods are capable of a small movement permitting the rods, at any moment, to engage only the strips which lead in the direction of movement of the band.
