Abstract

828,640. Compartmental containers. VENESTA Ltd. April 23, 1958 [April 23, 1957], No. 12981/57. Class 66. [Also in Group XXVIII] A drum container 1 has an axial core 2 and an annular ring 10 which seats on hoops 9, 11, so as to stabilize the core 2 yet leave an adequate annular container space above the ring 10. Hoop 9 may be attached to a disc 8 forming a cap which is rivetted to the core 2 and bottom 3. The bottom 3 may be seated on a hoop 7 which may be strengthened by rivetting through drum 1 to an overlapping hoop 6. Drum 3 and core 2 can be of fibreboard, bottom 3, disc 8 and hoops 6, 7, 9 and 11 of plywood, and a pressed metal lid 4 can be secured by toggle fasteners 5. The drum 1 and core 2 may be impregnated above ring 10 with paraffin wax and more than one ring 10 may be used,
