Abstract

812,507. Jaw crushers. WESTFALIA DINNENDAHL GROPPEL, A. G. April 1, 1957 [April 24, 1956], No. 10522/57. Class 59 The swing jaw 2 of a jaw crusher bears against one end of a thrust plate 4 the other end of which bears against a transverse beam 5 slidably supported in the side walls 7 of the crusher frame and arranged parallel to the eccentric shaft 3 from which the swing jaw is suspended. The swing jaw, thrust plate and traverse beam are held together by means of spring-loaded tension rods 6. The ends of the transverse beam carry bearing blocks 9 each of which is connected by means of a tie rod 10 to a crosshead 11 to which are attached piston rods, the pistons working in hydraulic pressure cylinders 13 arranged on the side walls 7. The jaw 2 is adjustable relatively to a fixed jaw 1 by means of packing strips 8.
