Abstract

802,838. Siphonic flushing cisterns. CROSSLAND, Ltd., R. & A.G. May 30, 1957 [June 15, 1956], No. 18520/56. Class 26. A flushing cistern siphon of inverted U-shape having wto legs 6, 7, the leg 6 for connecting to an outlet pipe and the leg 7 opening into a piston cylinder 8, is of moulded plastic and has an integral flange 13 on the leg 6 moulded around a flange 14 on a metal insert 15 for attachment to the outlet pipe, spaced ribs 13a extending from the flange 13 along the leg 6, an integral boss 16 accommodating the piston rod 17 on the cylinder, and an integral rib 19 joining it to the leg 9 and to the outer side of the cylinder. The leg 6 is joined to the leg 7 and the cylinder 8 by webs 9 and 10. Over the legs is a flange 11 secured to the flange of a separately-moulded cover 12. The leg 7 is circular at the top but elliptical where it joins the cylinder 8.
