809,683. Mounting bearings. MATTERSON, P. D. April 10, 1957 [April 10, 1956], No. 10842/56. Class 12 (1). A shaft mounting comprises inner and outer eccentric sleeves 7, 3, the inner sleeve 7 being adapted for carrying the shaft 9 rotatably and the outer sleeve 3 being located in a housing 2, the eccentric bushes being permanently connected together and the housing 3 after having been pre-set to the required positions by the use of a dummy shaft. The sleeves 7, 3 preferably have the same degree of eccentricity. In a modification, the bearings 17, 18 of a track wheel 15 of an overhead crane are mounted on an axle 21, one end of which is mounted with respect to a support 13 by inner and outer eccentric rings 7, 3. Both ends of the axle 21 may have the double eccentric ring mounting.
