807,681. Road forms. GRUNDY, J. M., GRUNDY, M. L., WOODS, A., BIXTER, N., and HALL, J., [trading as GRUNDY & CO. DEVELOPMENTS, J.]. March 26, 1957 [Feb. 15, 1956], No. 4672/56. Class 20(2) A road form comprises a base unit 10 and an exchangeable or adjustable lift 13 to extend the height of the moulding face 11. In Fig. 1 a lift of the required height, (one of several of different heights) is attached to the base unit by bolts 22 passing through engaging flanges and secured by wedges. Rail sections 24 are mounted on brackets 26, 29 adjustable for height. In a modification a rail section is formed integrally with the lift. In a further modification the base unit and the exchangeable lift each comprise a vertical and an horizontal flange, the vertical flanges engaging edge to edge and being connected by pillars slidable in housings on the base unit and engaging housings on the lift. In two further modifications the vertical flange of the lift overlaps the vertical flange of the base unit, the flanges being bolted together and in one modification the flanges are relatively vertically adjustable and the moulding face is made flush by a making-up strip and in the other modification one of a number of lifts of different height is adapted to form a flush moulding face with a joggled part of the vertical flange of the base unit.
