770,584. Broaching; dash-pots. LAPOINTE MACHINE TOOL CO., Ltd. (Lapointe Machine Tool Co.). April 6, 1955, No. 10149/55. Addition to 749,950. Class 83 (3). A duplex broaching- machine as claimed in Claim 1 of the parent Specification comprises means for applying controlled back-pressure to each broaching slide during its working stroke. Each slide 60 carries a cylinder 72 co-operating with a fixed piston 90. A constant-pressure valve 100 controls the movement of each slide on each working stroke and a one-way by-pass valve 102 opens on the return stroke. Any fluid loss is made up by a constant-pressure supply line 105. Specification 754,977 is referred to.
