Abstract

763,001. Two-part couplings. PARSONS, Ltd., C. H., and HANDLEY, G. B. April 12, 1955 [April 9, 1954], No. 10446/54. Class 38 (1). A pivoted two-armed shutter 17 for a socket connector is latched in the operative position by a slide 24 having a projection 26 engaging a notch in the shutter in said position, and a camshaped nose 25 projecting through a slot in a plate 31 carrying the earth socket 23, and into said socket. Insertion of the earth pin moves the slide against a spring 29 and disengages projection 26 from the shutter which is then free to be actuated by the live pins. The shutter may be of the kind described in Specification 605,500.
