Abstract

761,169. Hearing aids. FORTIPHONE, Ltd. May 10, 1955 [May 16, 1954], No. 13782/54. Class 40 (4). A hearing aid comprising a microphone, a receiver and a transistor amplifier is provided in each arm of a spectacle frame. A bone conduction receiver 7, a microphone 4 and a combined on/off switch and volume control 5 are disposed as shown in Fig. 1, In Fig. 3, an air conduction receiver is provided on the arm and a clip-on attachment 10 conducts the sound to the ear. The battery is accommodated in a hollow end piece 12. In another arrangement (not shown) the receiver is combined with an ear plug and is connected to the arm by a wire. The amplifier comprises three transistors TS,<SP>1</SP> TS', TS', Fig. 5, with transformer coupling, the microphone, receiver, &c. having the same references as in Fig. 1.
