768,058. Reciprocating compressors. TEVES, H., and TEVES, E. A., [trading as TEVES MASCHINEN-UND ARMATURENFABRIK KOMM-GES., A.]. Feb. 16, 1955 [Feb. 18, 1954], No. 4700/55. Class 8(1) [Also in Group XXXIV] In a motor-driven air compressor in which a piston 15 is reciprocated in a cylinder 16 by means of a hollow rotating crankshaft 4, lubricating oil is supplied to the compressor by means of a worm 10 which is non-rotatably attached to the bearing body 1 and projects into the crankshaft. As the shaft rotates oil is drawn from the sump up past the worm into a space 11 from which the oil may pass to parts to be lubricated, by way of radial bores 12 or by way of a chamber 13 and grooves 14 in the rotor carrier 5 of the motor and in the bearing member 3.
