Abstract

765,063. Stoppers. THERMOS (1925), Ltd. Jan. 18, 1955, No. 1501/55. Classes 66 and 125(3). A vacuum flask has a ring member 1 of polythene or similar plastic embracing the neck 2 of the flask and provided with a flange 3 engaged by a flange 4 of the outer casing of the flask, an internal flange 6 engaging the neck 2 and a groove 9 which receives the bead 13 of a closure 11, also of polythene, by snap action, the closure having a plug portion 12 insertable into the neck 2 and being closed by a cap member 14 with a flanged part 15 engageable with an annular recess 16. The cap may form a permanent seal for the open end of the plug or be removable so that the inside of the plug can be used as a receptacle for flavouring or seasoning agents, such as sugar, cream, salt, pepper &c. Specification 738,772 is referred to.
