756,074. Transformers. REYROLLE & CO., Ltd., A. Dec. 9, 1954 [Dec. 21, 1953], No. 35550/53. Class 38 (2). [Also in Groups XXXVI and XXXVII] In high voltage electric switchgear (see Group XXXVII), a current transformer unit may comprise a moulded block of solid insulating synthetic resin in which is embedded at least the high voltage winding of a current transformer. In Fig. 1, the block 37 is formed with a recess 38 housing terminals 39 which co-operate with circuit-breaker terminals 36 on a protruding terminal bushing 35 to which the block 37 is secured by a semi-permanent joint. In Fig. 2 (not shown), the block is sealed into the wall of a cable chamber below the circuit-breaker. The resin is of the lowmoulding pressure type which solidifies by a polymerization process without evolving volatile constituents, e.g. the material known by the Registered Trade Mark " Araldite."
