Abstract

743,617. Mounting differential gears. REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT. Oct. 27, 1953 [Nov. 21, 1952], No. 29654/54. Class 79 (3). In a motor vehicle the differential gear casing has its ends mounted on two resilient cross-members 2, 6 having their ends resiliently connected to the vehicle body. As shown, the front end of the casing carries lugs 3 which are bolted to the member 2 formed as a spring plate, the ends of which are connected by rubber blocks 11a, 11b and bolts 12 to the vehicle body. The body is provided with stop pads 15 of fairly hard plastic material. Lugs 4 at the rear of the casing are connected by rubber pads 5 and bolts 8 to the member 6 also formed as a spring plate, the ends of which are connected by rubber pads 25 and bolts 26 to a cross-member 20 welded or otherwise secured to the body.
