Abstract
746,895. Liquid-forcing apparatus. JOHNSTON, I. J. March 31, 1954 [June 3, 1953], No. 9476/54. Class 102(2). Liquid spraying apparatus for crop or paint spraying &c., comprises a container 1 having identical hemispherical halves 2, 2a having identical hose connections 12 and clamping therebetween a rubber diaphragm 5 dividing the container into an upper chamber 7 containing the spraying liquid and a lower chamber 6 connected to a pressure source or vice versa. The pressure source may be e.g., the domestic water supply, an air compressor, or an enginedriven pump. Instead of being spherical, the container may be cylindrical with hemispherical ends. The container may be provided with supporting legs or mounted on a trolley together with its pump to form a portable unit.
