746,721. Utilizing solar heat. CAILLOL, J. L. R. May 20, 1954 [July 11, 1953], No. 14838/54. Class 64(2). [Also in Group XXIX] A valve H, Fig. 1, for automatically regulating the output temperature of a hollow plate type solar boiler has its spindle I and loading spring J enclosed and sealed from the boiler water by a corrugated membrane M. The boiler comprises a flat galvanised sheet-iron box having its sides supported with a margin of elasticity by internal stays S, Fig. 2, an inlet P and outlet N, O, past the valve. A bellows D of red brass carries a rod E extending through the bellows and a guide F into a bath C of thermal oil protruding into the boiler. Expansion of the bellows allows the rod to open the valve by contacting an adjustable screw L carried by the valve.
