Abstract
736,315. Pneumatic conveyers. ALLIED IRONFOUNDERS, Ltd. Sept. 8, 1953 [Sept. 8, 1952], No. 22502/52. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XXII] Core boxes, moulds, dies, &c., are filled with sand or other material by discharging the material from a magazine 3 through one or more outlet openings 11 preferably of Venturi form, by fluid pressure, the pressure fluid being directed into the body of the material through one or more conduits 8, the outlet end 10 of each conduit being arranged in proximity to an associated outlet in the magazine. Pressure air is delivered to the annular space 4 between the magazine and an outer casing 2, a diametrically extending conduit 9 connecting the annular space 4 with the conduit 8. Holes 12, 13 in the magazine wall and the conduit 8 respectively allow pressure air to agitate the sand in the magazine.
