713,838. Adhesive bandages. SMITH & NEPHEW, Ltd., T. J. Dec. 4, 1951 [Dec. 22, 1950], No. 31285/50. Class 81(2) [Also in Group VIII] Adhesive-coated bandage having a porous backing 13, e.g. textile fabric or perforated film of flexible plastic material, and adhesive coating 15 having perforations 18 therein is produced (see Group VIII) by coating the backing with a liquid adhesive coating and subjecting the coated backing to pressure or vacuum or both to puncture the coating at the pores of the backing.
