Abstract
The oxygen content of the oxygen-containing gas in the process for the manufacture of steel described in Specification 713,246 is above 94 per cent. and is mixed with steam in a ratio between 0.5 to 1 and 6 to 1 to produce steel having a nitrogen content between 0.002 and 0.01 per cent.
