707,189. Stirring device. ARNOLD, H.. and KNUDSEN, W. S. April 7, 1952 [Aug. 30, 1951]. No. 8873/52. Class 86 A stirring device for manual or mechanical use comprises a stirring body or vane 2, which may be perforated, and which is freely rotatable around a handle or shaft 1 passing through a point outside the centre of gravity of the body, preferably near its rim or border. The body or vane'may be releasably retained on the handle or shaft by a spring loaded ball 8 engaging a recess 7 in the handle or shaft. At the bottom of the body there may be a supporting projection 9 to serve as a centre of rotation during the stirring.
