706,852. Gloves. NORTH & SONS. Ltd., J. Feb. 26, 1952 [Feb. 26, 19511, No. 4571/51. Class 141 A method of making a protective glove, mitt &c. of the kind comprising a flexible fabric body having an outer layer of a flexible non-pervious protective material, other than rubber, as for instance polyvinyl chloride, consists in placing a fabric glove, upon a former, dipping it into the protective material and subsequently curing with the fingers and thumb pointing either upwards or downwards, the fabric glove being so constructed as not to have a longitudinal' seam extending along the inside wall of the thumb or into the region of the crutch. The Figure shows the seam 1 of the thumb 2 in a preferred position, on the outside or back of the thumb, but the seam 1 may terminate at any point on the back of the thumb between the points 6 and 7. Specification 624,795 is referred to.
