Shorts of woven fabric comprise a lower portion including the seat, crotch and leg regions and two triangular portions forming the upper front, side and back regions. The lower portion is formed of a single blank having a straight top edge 30, Fig. 4, extending along the straight of the fabric, short downwardly diverging side edges 36, 38, inwardly converging bottom leg edges 40, 42 and a central concave edge portion 44. The triangular blanks, Fig. 5, have straight upper edges 46, 48, edges 54, 56 which are folded back along lines 58, 60 and stitched to form fly portions and edges 50, 52 which are stitched to form fly portions and edges 50, 52 which are stitched to the top edge 30 of the lower portion along the line 20, Fig. 1.
