Abstract

678,353. Rectifiers. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Feb. 8, 1951, No. 3099/51. Class 37. Dry plate rectifiers 1 or condenser plates are assembled in a tube 2 of insulating material closed by spring-metal washers 6 of slightly larger diameter than the diameter of the tube so that they become dished and resist withdrawal. The washers 6 may be slotted as in Fig. 2 to facilitate dishing. A spring 3 maintains the plates in close contact and leads 9 have heads 10 and pass through holes in the washers. The ends of the tube may be sealed with a cold-setting resin. Specifications 526,482 and 626,394 are referred to.
