Abstract

662,559. Watch brackets. STEINBERG, M. March 29, 1949 [June 25, 1948], No. 8548/49. Class 43. A strap for attachment to a watch casing which has horizontally apertured lugs 3 is split along part of its length, the two ends so formed being shaped to accommodate fastening means 1 which passes through a lug 3 and secures the strap thereto. The lugs may be removably attached to the usual bow fittings 4 or may be integral with the casing. Loops are formed at the ends of the split parts of the strap, which consists of two layers of leather or the like stitched together and are placed one on each side of a lug 3; the barrel of a headed stud 1 is then pushed through the aligned holes, and the threaded stem of a headed pin 2 is received in a tapped hole in said barrel. Alternatively the member 2 may be a split pin.
