The runners comprise a backbone 10 with a top flange 11 and on each side lower and upper integral webs 12, 15 which converge towards the backbone: web 12 lies at right angles to it and its outer edge 13 which lies further from the backbone than the bearing surface of web 15 is flanged to provide a narrow seating 14 for the boards. The noggins comprise a backbone 18 a top web 20 and lower web 19 at each side with a narrow seating 22 on the flanged edge web 19. Flanged intermediate webs 23 determine the edgewise setting of the boards. The runners may have a deeper backbone with one or more stiffening webs. To assemble the noggins an oblique cut 26 in the backbone enables the end of the web to be bent down to engage under the runner web 15 and a cut 27 from the corners of web 19 permits the middle portion to seat upon web 12; its flanged edge is cut away at 28 to receive the noggin or the lower portion of the backbone and the lower web of the noggin may be cut away so that web 23 may seat on surface 14 of the runner. Surfaces 14, 22 are co-planar when the parts are in position.
