654,187. Temperature-responsive actuating-elements. ROBERTSHAW-FULTON CONTROLS CO. May 18, 1948, No. 13405. Convention date, Aug. 7, 1947. [Class 64(ii)] [Also in Group XXIX] In a thermostatically controlled fluid mixing device (see Group XXIX), in which the flow of the two fluids is controlled by a double coned valve 71 actuated by a temperature-responsive element 66 in the mixing chamber, the element 66 comprises a cylinder having ends formed by bellows 68, 80 and filled with an expansible fluid. A tube 89 coiled round the cylinder and opening into it at the ends increases its sensitivity. The bellows 68 is connected to the valve 71 while the bellows 80 is connected through a spring 87 to a temperature setting screw 88.
