Abstract

649,892. Cooling liquids; tubular heat exchangers. SPACARB, Inc. Oct. 23, 1948, No. 27619. Convention date, Nov. 10, 1947. [Classes 29 and 64(iii)] [Also in Group VI] Individual tubes 25, 26 and 11, 12, 13 for refrigerant, water, and flavouring syrups respectively, are embedded in a metallic block 10 which also contains a carbonator 15. The three syrup tubes 11, 12, 13 form overlapping spirals located near a central well 14 formed in the cylindrical aluminium block 10, the inlets and outlets being located at the top surface of the block. Refrigerant is supplied to tube 25 formed as inner and outer spirals overlapping with similar spirals of the water tube 26 the outlet 38 of which leads to the carbonator (see Group VI), the carbonated water leaving by a pipe 54.
