Abstract

645,725. Indicators for switches. RHEOSTATIC CO., Ltd. April 14,1948, No. 10387. [Class 38(v)] A temperature setting and illuminated indicating device, preferably for a thermostat, has a stationary cover 16 through the central translucent or transparent top 17 of which an indicating lamp 13 is visible and a setting member 24 rotatable around the cover. Such an indicator comprises a lamp in a stationary holder 11 mounted in a rotatable tube 9 which is surrounded by the cover and moved by a projecting arm 15 carrying an index 24. The cover is held on the indicator by a split ring 7 which is mounted on the indicator base 4 and the arm 15 engages a flat on the tube 9 with its tongue 18. In modifications, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown) the index 24 on the arm 15 may be replaced by a ring having an indexing mark or graduations.
