[Class 89 (i)] Nuts, in sleeve form adapted for use as wall &c. plugs, have resilient tongues engaging the threads of the bolt permitting rapid assembly by axial pressure. The threads 4, preferably of buttress type, are formed in a split collet 3 bevel closed by a spring that forces the collet into a seating formed by a constriction 2 in the main sleeve. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes other constructions. In one form discs having a number of inclined spring tongues 4, Fig. 1 (Cancelled), are assembled with spacing washers 3 in an enlargement 2 of the plug 1 and secured by flanging the end. The ends of the tongues are bevelled for engagement with a buttress thread. The discs 12 may be secured against the end of the plug by a screw cap 9, Fig. 4 (Cancelled), and a single disc only may be used. An arched cross member 15 resting in slots 14 in the plug may contact with the end of the bolt which causes the ends of the member to project into the wall of the hole in which the plug is inserted. The tongues may be formed by cross slots in the disc, or may be punched from the wall of the plug ; additional tongues punched outwards serving to anchor the plug in the hole. In a further form the nut may be formed by a series of staple like members of spring wire inserted through helically arranged holes in the sleeve. An inner sleeve 18, Fig. 6 (Cancelled), may clamp discs 12 against an internal flange 10 formed on the sleeve 1. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
