Abstract
626,509. Seat bottoms. SHWARZOWSKY, S. Feb. 24, 1947, No. 5326. [Class 32 (ii)] A deck chair comprising side frames 1, 9 and cross bars 11, 91, has additional square cross bars 3 resting in incisions 2, 10 in the frames. The bars 3 have longitudinal grooves 4 within which is placed a rod 5 inserted in the sheathed end of the canvas 6. To adjust the canvas the cross bars are removed and turned so as to wind up the required amount of canvas. A turnable plate 7 covers the incision 2. One of the removable cross bars may be replaced by two fixed spaced cross bars between which the canvas is held.
