Abstract

613,720. Ventilators. VOKES, C. G., and VOKES, Ltd. June 27, 1946, No. 19283. [Class 137] A ventilating opening, e.g. in a rail car, has louvres 3 which direct rain into gutters 4, 5 (Fig. 3) at top and bottom by which it can be led away to drain passages 9 outside the opening, and shields 12 to catch rain driving parallel to the opening. The louvres may slope downwardly towards the passages 9, and a filter (not shown) may be arranged behind the opening.
