Abstract

613,589. Door fastenings. BERG, A. L. June 19, 1946, No. 18452. [Class 44] A fastening shown in section in Figs. 1 and 3 comprises a swingably mounted bolt 4 controlled by a rotary member 7 on an axis at right angles to the bolt axis, the member 7 having an eccentric arm 8 and being partly accommodated in a cylindrical recess 9 in one end of the bolt. The bolt is retracted by a pivoted arm 10 engaged by the arm 8. The member 7 is turned by a handle 5, Fig. 3. The bolt 4 is of parabolic section and may be shaped so that when fully shot it is retained by the arm 8.
