Abstract

618,250. Baby soothers. ATKIN, D. April 1, 1946, No. 9989. [Class 81 (ii)] In a baby soother having the teat 1 moulded integral with a safety shield 2, and the attachment ring 3 moulded integral with a spigot portion 4, adapted to enter the bore of the teat and secured therein with vulcanisable rubber cement, the spigot and bore of the teat are formed respectively with external and internal flanges for securing a mechanical connection at 5 between the two parts. The teat and shield may be moulded with mould parts separable in the direction of the teat axis, and the ring and spigot with mould parts separable in the direction of the ring axis. The flanges may be interrupted to form a bayonet joint.
