616,377. Knitting-machines. STIBBE & CO., Ltd., G., STIBBE, E. V., and BROWN, A. M. July 19, 1946, No. 21624. [Class 74(ii)] The pickers of a circular machine are caused to act each upon the other by means of an interposed push rod 16 so that one picker in acting upon the needles, causes the other to be posi tioned ready to act on the needles in its turn. Pivoted holders 10 of the pickers 8 each have cam surfaces 15 which taper towards the pickers. The rod 16 is slidably mounted on the knitting-cam block 1 with its ends in contact with the surfaces 15. As one picker 8 is thrown out of operative position, its cam surface 15 causes the rod 16 to turn the other picker into operative position against the action of a spring connecting its holder 10 to the block 1.
