Abstract
A flux for use in tinning the copper-plated surface of a ferrous metal article, e.g. a bearing, previous to alloyage with an unlike metal, e.g. Babbitt metal, consists of zinc chloride 50 per cent, aluminium chloride 4 per cent, free hydrochloric acid 6 per cent, and water on a weight basis 40 per cent.
