Abstract
614,688. Furniture combinations and folding under-frames. TAWS, H. July 20, 1946, No. 21739. [Class 52 (iii)] A combined stool and bag comprises a folding stool of crossed frame construction having an inner frame formed by legs, 1, 2 and interconnecting transverse rods and an outer frame of legs 5, 6 and interconnecting transverse rods or bars 7, 8. The inner and outer frames are pivoted together by means of bolts 10 and the lower part of each leg is hinged at 12 so that it may be folded alongside the upper part and held thereto by releasable fastenings 20, 21. A seat 9 is slung between the upper transverse rods 3, 7 of the frames and also slung on the same rods is a bag 14 having an opening at the side closable by a sliding clasp fastener 15. Straps 16 sewn around the bag terminate in handles 17. The transverse bar 8 is pivoted to the outer frame to permit folding of the inner and outer frames together.
