Abstract

608,865. Spring clips. ATKINSON, J. Nov. 15, 1945, No. 25407. [Class 44] A clothes peg consists of a length of material shaped intermediate its length to an angular arch 1 comprising two or more bends, the legs 2, 3 forming gripping jaws. The strip is bent back in a sharp radius at the end, of each leg to form actuating parts 4, 5 for which the arch portion 1 acts as a fulcrum. The jaws may be of different lengths and the portion 1 may be reinforced by a spring ring. The actuating portions 4, 5 may be formed with holes or hooks and the whole or parts of the peg may be ribbed to increase the strength. The peg may be formed of plastic material or metal.
