Abstract
606,862. Perforated paper. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP BALATUM. Jan. 21, 1946, No. 2035. Convention date, Sept. 1, 1943. [Class 96] [Also in Group X] Paper or other opaque material for a glare proof blind has perforations of any desired shape disposed close to each other in groups 3 which are arranged alongside and above each other, and regularly distributed over the whole area of the bind with non perforated strips 4 separating the groups. The perforations, which may be circular, as shown, square, diamond shaped, and triangular &c., may be formed by a rotary process, and the distance between perforations is preferably less than the diameter or length of the perforations. Preferred dimensions are, sizes of perforations 1 mm., length of group 20 mm., and distance between groups horizontally 8 mm., and vertically 6 mm. The paper may be reinforced by strips or by chemical impregnation, e.g. with a solution of Konyaku powder (elesmannaan meal, prepared by bruising dried amorphophallus bulks), and may be printed on and varnished.
