Abstract

606,210. Lawn-edging shears. TAYLOR, J. Jan. 10, 1946, No. 921. [Class 30] A tray is secured to one of the blades of a pair of elbow or edging shears for receiving grass cuttings. The shear blades m, n, lie between flanges d, e, on the side of the tray. The higher flange e has a slot which engages the hinge bolt p of the shears. The floor a of the box has a slot g into which is passed a U-link which embraces the lower shear blade m and has on one side a tightening screw j. In a modification the lip of the shear blade may be secured by a tag projecting from the floor a and engaging a notch or sawcut in the back of the blade.
