579,013. Concealed hinges. BEATON & SON, Ltd., G., and ELLIS, R. J. L. May 10, 1944, No. 8908. [Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXII] The hinge of a motor vehicle door 11 is arranged in a recess in the face of the pillar 10 with the hinge axis 15 at the side of the recess remote from the door. In the form shown the fixed hinge member 16 is of angle form and the moving member is of S-shape to clear the side of the recess and the adjacent facing panel and the hinge 115 of an adjacent door 111 is arranged immediately below the hinge 15 in the same recess.
