Abstract

576,515. Concrete posts &c. ORLIT, Ltd., and PICK, Z. June 27, 1944, No. 12225. [Classes 20 (i) and 20 (iv)l Sections of reinforced concrete stanchions 10 are provided, at one end at least, with a plate 11, Fig. 2, or angle irons 21, Fig. 5, welded to the reinforcements 12 and provided with bolt holes 13 whereby adjacent sections can be bolted together in axial alignment. The plate need not extend beyond the stanchion which, in this case, is provided with a reduced portion which, as in Fig. 5, may subsequently be filled with concrete 17. Fig. 9 shows the stanchion 10 with side members having similar plates 11 to which beams 19 may be bolted.
