[Class 100 (i)] In a folding and delivery apparatus for printing-machines in which rotary folding cylinders of varying sizes are employed and deal with associated sheets which are cut from a web by transverse cutting cylinders 5, 6, the cylinders 5, 6 are arranged so as to sever the web incompletely and breaking rollers 12, 13 moving at a faster speed complete the separation. The cutting and breaking rollers are mounted in slides 34 adjustable by screw mechanism to vary the distance of the cutters from the grippers 31 of a cylinder 32 which alternately receive a cut sheet and then transfer it to a collecting-cylinder 30 coacting with the folding- cylinder 33. The cut sheets are guided to the cylinders 30, 32 by means of bands 11, 25 passing over fixed pulleys 17, 18, 19 and 22, 23 24 and also pulleys 16, 20, 21 which travel with the slides 34, so that when the slides are adjusted the lengthening of the portions alpha, b of the bands is equal to the shortening of the portions c, d and vice versa. The sheets are .thus guided positively to the collecting-cylinders by the bands with the aid of guides 9, 10 and fixed guides near the grippers 31. The cutting- cylinders 5, 6 and the bands 11, 25 are driven from the breaking-cylinders 12, 13 and these are driven from the collecting-cylinders by bevel gearing including a splined vertical shaft which permit of the vertical adjustment of the slides 34.
