Abstract

551,321. Screw conveyers. FRIOR BURNERS, Ltd., and ROUSE, H. L. Aug. 13, 1941, No. 10295. [Class 78 (i)] A small conveyer screw 1 running full in a small tube 2 supplies a larger screw 4 running only partially full in a larger tube 9, 10, the coupling between the screws being located in the tube of larger diameter. The short length 10 of the larger tube is coupled by a flange to the smaller tube 2 and is connected to the larger tube by a sleeve 13. An opening 14 covered by the sleeve 13 gives access to the coupling.
