Abstract
540,338. Electromagnetic switches ; contacts. IGRANIC ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. April 22, 1940, No. 7233. Convention date, June 9, 1939. [Class 38 (v)] An auxiliary switch adapted to be operated by the armature 1 of a contactor comprises a bell-crank level having a pivot 19 engaging an open pivotal bearing 11, a roller 16 on one arm engaged by a pin 5 on the armature 1, a detachable self aligning contact 24 on the other arm, and a spring 20 tending tc press the contact member 24 into bridging engagement with contacts 33. In the form shown clockwise rotation of the armature 1 into the dotted position moves the pin 5 away from the roller 16 and allows the switch to close. In modifications the switch is mounted nearer the base 9 so that the above movement of the armature will cause the pin 5 to engage the roller and open the switch, Fig. 1 (not shown) or to move past the roller causing a momentary opening of the contacts. The contact member 24 pivots about a ridge 30 on the support 18 and has side arms which engage slots in the sides of the support 18 and bend over at their ends so as to engage a flat spring 29.
