[Class 53] A positive electrode is made at least in part of carbonaceous material, made by the process described in the parent Specification and powdered or granulated and then compacted, with a binder if necessary, so as to form a mass. The size of the particles is preferably between eight and a hundred and twenty to the inch and the pressure applied to compact the mass is between one thousand and ten thousand pounds per square inch.
