Abstract

523,102. Paperhangers' tools. BUCKMASTER, C., and BUCKMASTER, S. C. Dec. 23, 1938, No. 37391. [Class 20 (ii)] A paperhangers' apparatus comprises two adjustable standards mounted on bases having ball or roller bearings, one standard adapted to carry a roller for the support of the pasted paper and the other a clip or clamp to support the end of the pasted paper remote from the roller. The roller 1 has reduced portions 2 adapted to be carried in the upturned ends of a plate 2A carried by a rod 3 and coupling 2C at the upper end of a longitudinal section of a standard which has sliding connection with the other longitudinal section, provided at its lower end with a base 6 having wheels or castors. The standard sections have a dovetail projection and slot connection and each section is provided with a handle 7 and the movable section with a pinching screw 9. A similar standard supports a cranked arm 13, carrying at its upper end two hinged slots 10 between which is gripped the free end of the pasted paper. The slots may be in horizontal position for a ceiling, and in vertical position for a frieze and each slot may be formed in halves hinged together for use at corners and angles.
