Abstract

520,256. Electric cookers; casings. MONKHOUSE, E., and STOCKER, N. C. Oct. 28, 1938, No. 31182. [Classes 39 (iii) and 126] An electric cooker is supported by uprights 11, and has detachable external front and side panels by removal of which the unit with the wiring is rendered accessible for maintenance. The uprights pass through, and are rigidly secured to a horizontal base 13 on which is mounted the oven chamber 17 which is surrounded by heat-insulating material, the detachable panels when secured in position, concealing the uprights above the base. A grill chamber 23 is supported from the oven chamber. A detachable inner chamber 21 is inserted into the main oven chamber, and a hob plate 26 is pivotally supported at 25 by the grill chamber and has openings 27 for the heating elements. The control switches are mounted in holes in a channel portion 31 of the front panel.
