Abstract
511,253. Roller sheeting-machines. VICARS, Ltd., T. & T., CROSLAND, E. M., and NAYLOR, J. F. Nov. 28, 1938, No. 34608. [Class 87 (ii)] In a sheeting machine for dough or other plastic material, lumps of dough 1, Fig. 1, fed into a hopper 2 are forced by serrated or like rolls 3, 4 into a compression chamber 5 formed by these rolls and a pair of contacting rolls 6, 6a positioned to leave spaces for the emergence of two sheets of dough 7, 8. In a modification each sheet is divided by a blade into two sheets. In a further construction shown in Fig. 2, three rolls are provided, one of the feed rolls 18 co-operating with a roll 22 to supply a dough stream which is divided by a blade 23 into two sheets 16, 17.
