510,383. Tanks. BROOKFIELD, E. Aug. 5. 1938, No. 23145. [Class 69 (i)] A fuel tank for aircraft which is made of two flanged halves, 1, 2, bolted together and is substantially elliptical as seen in one direction, and which tapers towards each end or is substantially elliptical as seen in a direction at right angles to the former, is provided with internal baffles 7. In the construction shown the baffles extend diagonally across the tank and extend from side to side and from top to bottom and are formed with corresponding slots 8.,by which they engage one another when assembled, and with waved of serrated edges to permit passage of the fuel around them. The edges of the flanges 3 may be welded together in addition to bolting
